Busan Energy is driven by four goals: secure energy supply, innovation in power generation, optimization of power generation and storage, and smoothing of energy transmission – avoiding resource wastage, inefficiency and disruption.
Busan Energy designs, builds and services turnkey power plants with management, control and cyber security systems, as well as single power islands or stand-alone machines such as turbines, microturbines and generators.
The company dominates conventional and next-generation technologies – from gas to nuclear and renewables.
All Busan Energy gas turbine systems are transition-ready: they can be used in existing power installations and fueled with a combination of natural gas and hydrogen without (or partial) compatibility. Current hydrogen capability ranges from 40% to 70% depending on the engine model. Busan Energy is committed to achieving 100% hydrogen capability across its entire product range by 2030 or sooner.
Along with hydrogenators and geothermal power plants, Busan Energie’s rapidly expanding suite of solutions for transmission also includes synchronous condensers and energy storage technologies to stabilize the grid and compensate for the ups and downs of renewables.
